Marley The Messenger is a Venezuelan-American rapper, performer, educator, and community advocate based in Gainesville, Florida. Known for his authentic voice, dynamic performances, and deep-rooted commitment to youth and underserved communities, Marley uses Hip Hop as a tool for healing, empowerment, and social connection.

three-time grant recipient, Marley’s creative leadership has been recognized through:

  • 2023: The MusicGNV Recording Grant, where he recorded “Worth Doing Right” (a tribute to his grandfather) and “Volcano” (a reflection on the global mental health crisis).
     
  • 2024: The SPARC352 Artist Proposal Grant, which funded Microphone Mentors—a public speaking & communication skills mentorship program for youth, co-led with Alachua County Poet Laureate E. Stanley Richardson.
     
  • 2025: The Art Tag Grant, awarded by the Alachua County Arts Council to support public art initiatives and expand rural access to the arts.

From 2023-2024 Marley The Messenger led a free recording & music making workshop for teens at the Tower Road Branch Library (Gainesville, FL) known as Teen Music Makers. Although the workshops are not currently taking place on a monthly basis, they are still available by request as a one-time event. In July of 2025, Marley launched his newest youth enrichment program, "N.I.C.E. Conversations" (Navigating Inspiration, Creativity & Expression)—a free library workshop series designed to build confidence and inspire creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship among youth of all ages.

Marley The Messenger has served as an A&R Representative for DL Music Group, he was one of the founding members of The Hip-Hop Collective at the University of Florida, and has performed on large stages like the Hard Rock Live (Orlando, Florida). His work as an MC, educator, and event host continues to bridge cultural expression with social purpose.
