3rd Annual Feathr & Friends Wintr Ball

Feathr's annual event to welcome all members of Gainesville to enjoy music, dancing, and socializing with members of the startup/tech community in Gainesville! It's also the perfect excuse to throw on a tie, gown, and beads.

Oh, did we say beads? That's right, because this year's theme is... drum roll, please... Masquerade Mardi Gras! So come "party gras" with Feathr at The Warehouse on January 25th, and don't forget your mask and beads!

Feathr will donate a portion of the Wintr Ball proceeds to Never-Say Never-Foundation, which was started in 2009 by "Big Nick" Stilwell & Regas Woods to help assist disabled youth with limb-loss or limb-difference. Check out their Facebook page for more info!

18th Annual DeLand Original Music & Arts Festival

Event Description:

The 18th Annual DeLand Original Music Festival will take place on Saturday Nov 3rd from 1pm-1am. This monumental event will feature original music from over 150 local and regional acts on 26 stages held throughout the Historic Downtown DeLand District. Downtown DeLand provides a perfect backdrop to showcase these acts at one of the nations top award winning historic downtown districts. The event is the largest one-day independent music festival in the southeast. The event will also host the 2018 SSA Music Awards which will consists of honoring the SSA's Songwriter of the Year, Band of the Year, Song of the Year, Instrumentalist of the Year and Most Unique Style of the Year

The festival features a wide array of musical styles from mostly local and regional acts for all ages to enjoy consisting of Rock, Jazz, Blues, Country, Bluegrass, Hip Hop, Electronica, Industrial, Folk, Christian Rock, Metal, Reggae and more. Other activity's include an Art Show consisting of over 30 area artists as well as a wide variety of various vendors. There will also be a community drum circle in which the public is welcomed to participate at and a family friendly kid zone located in front of the Historic Court House on W Indiana Ave. .

Discounted Advanced Tickets can be purchased online at or at Steve's Downtown Music in DeLand and Atlantic Sounds in Daytona Beach. Discounted Tickets are $10 Advance or $15 at the Gate. (Children ages 12 & under FREE) The Event is held RAIN OR SHINE. The event is presented by the Songwriters Showcases of America who also produces Daytona's MainStreet Live in February as well as Delandapalooza in April. Insane51 Mural Completion Celebration

Event Description: Another world-class mural is being installed in downtown Gainesville. GNV Urban Art LLC Iryna Kanishcheva has made arrangements for a new interactive mural by artist, Insane 51, at the Florida Theater Gainesville located at 233 West University Avenue, Gainesville, FL 32601. The mural will have a double exposure 3D effect that reveals different artworks when viewed through the red/blue lenses of 3D glasses. An official celebration of the completed project will be on Sunday, October 21 at 5 pm. The first 35 visitors of the event will receive FREE 3D glasses signed by the artist.

About The Artist: Insane 51, 26, is from Athens, Greece. He has garnered worldwide recognition for his ‘double exposure 3D style’ murals. Since 2007, Insane51 has been traveling the globe, painting walls at various street art festivals and exhibitions. His work can be viewed on his Instagram account at

About The Organizer: Iryna Kanishcheva curates murals independently under GNV Urban Art LLC. She was the founder and former curator of 352walls/ The Gainesville Urban Art Initiative, the first urban art program in North Central Florida. The inspiration, passion, international networking and years of experience led her to establish innovative projects in Florida and her home country, Ukraine. The Gainesville based GNV URBAN ART LLC works to build creative and cultural communities throughout Florida and all around the world, inspire vibrancy in neighborhoods, and to celebrate positive social change through contemporary art.

This year we have teamed up with Celebration Pointe and are looking to host our biggest and best food festival yet. We are closing Celebration Point Avenue in front of the Nike store and the Tommy Hilfiger store.

  • Admission to the 2018 Food Festival is free.

Grove Street Festival

Grove Street Neighborhood is a community project that aims to beautify and revitalize the historic, inner city of Gainesville, Florida. Grove Street Neighborhood's Murals Project is hosting this community event in celebration of winning the City Beautification Award for 2018 as an Outstanding Public Space and Community Project.

The official award ceremony will be held in Spanish Court at Thomas Center on Friday, April 25th at 6:00 pm. The community celebration event will be held at The Courtyard at Working Food Grove Street Square, 219 NW 10th Avenue, Gainesville, Florida 32601 on Saturday, April 28th from 4 pm until midnight.
